Piggy's Blood Shed Haunted House Behind-the-Scenes Tour & POV
Fright Fest takes place at Six Flags Over Texas now through October 31. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Piggy's Blood Shed haunt, along with a full POV of the house in action. Introduced in 2012, come into Piggy's restaurant for a home-cooked meal only to realize you are the prime entree to be served on the restaurant menu! A staple to the park’s house line-up, guests entering will experience high-intensity scares and Piggy’s favorite friends.
Fright Fest 2023 - Amazing Scare Actors, Several New Haunts & Shows
Fright Fest has returned to Six Flags Over Texas and takes place on select dates through October 31. This year's event features two new haunted houses, five new scare zones, several exciting new entertainment offerings and decor spread throughout the park. Kids Boo Fest 2023, Plus Daytime Scare Zone Walk-Throughs
Kids Boo Fest, Six Flags Over Texas' family-friendly Halloween celebration, takes place on Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. The event features costume contests, the Crazy Hay Maze, a trick-or-treat trail, Looney Tunes dance parties and more. We also take a daytime tour of all seven of the park's Fright Fest scare zones.
Oktoberfest Returns to Six Flags Over Texas With Even More Food Offerings & Live Entertainment
The Oktoberfest Food Festival has returned to Six Flags Over Texas on select dates from September 2 to October 31. Taking place along the park’s Smith Street and Old South area, the festival features a number of German-inspired food and adult beverage options with expanded menus for 2023. This year's event also features new live entertainment, photo opportunities and games, such as cornhole and shuffleboard.
Fright Fest Prep Begins at Six Flags Over Texas | Several New Scare Zones, Haunted Houses & Shows
Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas is coming up quick and the park is hard at work preparing for the Halloween event. This year's Fright Fest features several new entertainment offerings, including H.H. Holme's Freak Show in Southern Palace Theatre. Multiple new scare zones and haunted houses, such as Coven Cove, Lago de Miedo and Wrong Turn on Canal Street, will also make their debut in 2023.

Join the fun with our Six Flags Over Texas Selfie Scavenger Hunt. This free event takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. This event is for kids of all ages. Take a selfie of yourself with items listed below and post to social media. When posting, add hashtag #sixflagsovertexas. Social media for this game includes Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok.
Coasters Opening Soon, Speelunker Cave Update, Even More New Dining Offerings
Several roller coasters and attractions are planned to open after lengthy refurbishments and upgrades, including The Joker, Runaway Mine Train, El Sombrero and Pirates of Speelunker Cave. On top of new food offerings at existing dining locations, Six Flags Over Texas has also teamed with Cinnabon to bring the popular brand into the park. The new multi-launch water coaster at Six Flags Over Texas, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC, is the first of its kind in North America. The ride opens this weekend to park guests just in time for Spring Break and Scream Break.

Six Flags Over Texas announced today that passholder previews will take place for the all-new Aquaman: Power Wave roller coaster on two weekends leading up to the ride’s grand opening. Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, announces the grand opening of one of the most highly anticipated new attractions of the year. The new AQUAMAN: Power Wave multi-launch water coaster at Six Flags Over Texas, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, on behalf of DC, is the first of its kind in North America and opens to park guests on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Six Flags Over Texas Confirms the Permanent Closure of Harley Quinn Spinsanity
This weekend, Six Flags Over Texas confirmed via Twitter the permanent closure of the Harley Quinn Spinsanity flat ride. Harley Quinn Spinsanity officially opened at Six Flags Over Texas on July 14, 2018 as part of the park’s newer Gotham City area expansion. Harley Quinn Spinsanity featured a unique triple box design, creating the ability to spin around on three different axes at the same time.
