Taking place on select evenings between September 13 and November 3, Fright Fest is a Halloween-themed event, featuring haunted houses, live entertainment, scare zones and spooky decor. New for 2024 is a slate of several popular haunted house themes, including Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Stranger Things and SAW. Six Flags Over Texas Summertime Weekday Visit - Honest Truth Amid Guest Experience & Budget Cuts
Six Flags Over Texas has begun their summertime operations, opening daily until they close on Tuesdays beginning later in the month. Summer at the park looks a little different with a lack of events and no entertainment offerings during weekdays. Food prices, along with a surcharge, continue to increase while quality suffers.

Dinosaurs Begin to Take Over Six Flags Over Texas, Ride Closures & New Summer Updates
New for 2024 at Six Flags Over Texas is the Dino Off Road Adventure. Taking over the existing track of the Chaparral Antique Cars attraction, the new ride will feature several dinosaur animatronics throughout its layout. Construction is quickly under way on the new ride, along with the two new children's attractions set to open in Bugs Bunny Boomtown.
Total Solar Eclipse Engulfs Six Flags Over Texas, Plus Improvements & New Ride Construction Updates
April 8, 2024 saw Six Flags Over Texas become a unique place to catch the total solar eclipse with rides, viewing areas and a fireworks display. The park is also continuing construction on their two new children's attractions: Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce and Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. Six Flags Over Texas is also working on other projects as well, including EV chargers in the parking lot.
Shock Wave Celebrates 50 Million Riders, New Ride Construction, Spring Break
Six Flags Over Texas celebrates 50 million riders on the classic Shock Wave roller coaster with a ceremony featuring a ribbon cutting, giveaways and special behind-the-scenes tour. We also show off the quick construction progress taking place for the return of Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters and the new Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce. Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas is coming up quick and the park is hard at work preparing for the Halloween event. This year's Fright Fest features several new entertainment offerings, including H.H. Holme's Freak Show in Southern Palace Theatre. Multiple new scare zones and haunted houses, such as Coven Cove, Lago de Miedo and Wrong Turn on Canal Street, will also make their debut in 2023.
