Aquaman Testing & Opening Date, Harley Quinn Closed Forever, New Scream Break Details

With the opening of Aquaman: Power Wave right around the corner, crews are actively testing the ride during our visit. Join us for an in-depth look at the ride's mechanics and insane splashdown. We also discuss the permanent closure of Harley Quinn Spinsanity, along with other park improvement projects and the all-new Scream Break event.

Earlier this month, Six Flags Over Texas confirmed the permanent closure of Harley Quinn Spinsanity via Twitter. The primary pathway to the attraction has been blocked off as we wait to see what happens next to this back corner of Gotham City.

The major overhaul of the primary Gotham City games midway is still under way. We’ve recently learned that game operations at Six Flags Over Texas will be taken over by a vendor. Game locations on the Boomtown midway have already seen a refresh with new prizes.

Work continues on Runaway Mine Train’s control system upgrade. Crews were actively working on the new system during our visit. An extension to the coaster’s station can be seen, though it is unclear what the extra square footage will be used for.

Testing of Aquaman: Power Wave continued during our visit to the park. Seen below is the impressive splashdowns, along with how high the ride vehicle travels up the back spike. Additional small details are also still being installed, including the large Aquaman emblem on the coaster’s retaining wall.
