Six Flags Over Texas Confirms the Permanent Closure of Harley Quinn Spinsanity

This weekend, Six Flags Over Texas confirmed via Twitter the permanent closure of the Harley Quinn Spinsanity flat ride. Harley Quinn Spinsanity officially opened at Six Flags Over Texas on July 14, 2018 as part of the park’s newer Gotham City area expansion. Harley Quinn Spinsanity featured a unique triple box design, creating the ability to spin around on three different axes at the same time. Reaching heights of 70 feet, riders would be spun forward, backwards and sideways throughout Harley Quinn Spinsanity’s cycle. The attraction provided an intense combination of both positive and negative G-forces.

Harley Quinn Spinsanity was the second-ever installment of this type of attraction in the United States. The first installment of this ride is located at Six Flags Great Adventure. Their Tourbillon, named Cyborg Cyber Spin, opened one month prior to Harley Quinn Spinsanity. Harley Quinn Spinsanity is no stranger to complications. Less than a year after its grand opening, the attraction required extensive downtime for major repairs. Though it reopened, the ride would continue to face complications as time progressed.

In April of 2022, Six Flags Over Texas would go as far as to remove Harley Quinn Spinsanity from their official park map and block off the primary pathway to the ride. The attraction would remain closed for several months, reopening in July. However, it was never added back to the park’s map.
