The new paint job on Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast is under way and quite noticeable from the Boomtown games midway.
The roller coaster’s overbanked turn shows off a new light blue paint scheme for the track, which calls back to the ride’s original color.
Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast’s new paint scheme sports light blue track with a gray-blue support color.
Crews appear to be restoring various areas of the ride structure, likely due to rust and other deterioration.
Around half of Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast’s ride structure has been repainted. This is the first new paint job for the roller coaster since winter of 2006.
Aquaman: Power Wave
Work continues on Aquaman: Power Wave’s station area as a turntable is retrofitted into the ride’s original one-boat design.
All concrete from the originally-planned station has been bulldozed as new footers are prepared.
Aquaman: Power Wave is currently set for a summer 2022 grand opening.
Pirates of Speelunker Cave
A new rock-like facade has been constructed for the upcoming Pirates of Speelunker Cave attraction.
The dark ride’s entrance will also be relocated back to the original entrance of the Speelunker Cave attraction that existed between 1964 and 1991.
