La Vibora Demolition (Update 1), Sidewinder Refurbishment
La Vibora Demolition
The landscape of Six Flags Over Texas is changing rapidly as crews are quickly removing La Vibora.
Though many supports are still standing, La Vibora’s first drop has been fully removed.
The coaster’s lift hill is still standing, but its chain and other components have been removed.
Several pieces of trough are now laying under the ride’s primary structure.
La Vibora’s demolition sees the ride being ripped apart as it will eventually be scrapped.
Torn up pieces of trough can be seen laying next to the park’s parking lot.
Various segments of track and brake runs from the ride’s back half are still standing.
Select La Vibora supports, catwalks and stair sections have been torn down.
Work in La Vibora’s station is also active with railings being taken down, likely to make track removal easier.
Sidewinder Refurbishment
Sidewinder, the park’s Scrambler ride, has begun undergoing an extensive refurbishment.
The ride’s central hub has been completely removed.
Sidewinder’s three arms have been removed and will likely be more broken down during refurbishment.
