Looney Tunes Mall (Update 3), Various Park-Wide Improvement Projects
Looney Tunes Mall
Work has picked back up on the Looney Tunes Mall facade now that Fright Fest has concluded.
The facade’s support structure is slowly being reshaped.
The new, modern design will not feature a Looney Tunes overlay.
The new facade shape appears to have a lower profile than what previously existed.
Demolition, New Fencing & Pathway Adjustments
A new iron fence is currently going up around the perimeter of the park.
The Back Porch Stage was recently demolished after the conclusion of Fright Fest. The area has also been paved with new blacktop. The fate of the surrounding structures is unknown.
The flowerbed that once stood in front of this Texas barn arcade structure has been removed and the pathway has been repaved and widened.
In this same general area near Rodeo, other flowerbeds and mid-pathway trees have been removed to help relieve traffic flow pinch points.
Paint Projects
All American Cafe, one of the park’s primary restaurants, has been repainted. This is the first fresh coat of paint since the location was initially remodeled in the mid-2000s.
This small building in the park’s Old South section has also recently been repainted.
