Six Flags Announces Q3 2022 Performance, Amends Cooperation Agreement with H Partners
Total revenue for third quarter 2022 decreased $133 million, or 21%, compared to third quarter 2021, driven by lower attendance partially offset by higher per capita spending. The lower attendance was driven by an increase in ticket prices and elimination of free tickets and heavily-discounted product offerings.

From fireworks and multi-media to audience interaction to drones to traditional song and dance — the offerings were impressive. Six Flags Over Texas took the top bill with “Christmas at the Southern Palace.” The 25-member cast dazzled audiences with soaring vocals, beautiful costumes and a live band. Aquaman: Power Wave Debut Delayed Again to 2023
Today, Six Flags Over Texas announced that Aquaman: Power Wave, North America’s first PowerSplash attraction, will now be opening in spring of 2023. Aquaman: Power Wave’s history has featured several twists and turns due to the worldwide pandemic and design changes. Originally set to open in 2020, the attraction will be the park’s fifteenth roller coaster.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave Opens at Six Flags Over Texas | Full Ride POV, Queue Walk-Through & More
Pirates of Speelunker Cave is a re-imagining of one of the park’s first attractions, The Cave, that operated from 1964 until 1991 and replaces the current version of the attraction—Yosemite Sam and the Gold River Adventure. The Cave featured original characters called Speelunkers that were created exclusively for Six Flags Over Texas.
Pirates of Speelunker Cave to Open Saturday, May 14
Six Flags Over Texas has announced that Pirates of Speelunker Cave, an all-new ride experience, will make its debut on Saturday, May 14, 2022. This state-of-the-art attraction will place guests squarely in the middle of a pirate treasure hunt thwarted by resident Speelunkers.

Casa Magnetica to Close Until Fall
Six Flags Over Texas has announced that Casa Magnetica will close at the end of their Spring Break celebration on March 20. Though it is scheduled to remain down through the summer months, the park has noted that Casa Magnetica is planned to reopen in the fall.
Belly-Down Ride Experience Comes to Texas SkyScreamer
Six Flags Over Texas has announced that the all-new “Extreme Flying Experience” comes to Texas SkyScreamer for a limited time. Guests can trade in the standard swing seat for a flight suit and experience Texas SkyScreamer laying belly-down.
