Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX) today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to combine in a merger of equals transaction. The combined company, with a pro forma enterprise value of approximately $8 billion based on both companies’ debt and equity values as of October 31, 2023, will be a leading amusement park operator in the highly competitive leisure space with an expanded and diversified footprint, a more robust operating model and a strong revenue and cash flow generation profile.

Fright Fest takes place at Six Flags Over Texas now through October 31. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Piggy's Blood Shed haunt, along with a full POV of the house in action. Kids Boo Fest, Six Flags Over Texas' family-friendly Halloween celebration, takes place on Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. The event features costume contests, the Crazy Hay Maze, a trick-or-treat trail, Looney Tunes dance parties and more. We also take a daytime tour of all seven of the park's Fright Fest scare zones.

Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas is coming up quick and the park is hard at work preparing for the Halloween event. This year's Fright Fest features several new entertainment offerings, including H.H. Holme's Freak Show in Southern Palace Theatre. Multiple new scare zones and haunted houses, such as Coven Cove, Lago de Miedo and Wrong Turn on Canal Street, will also make their debut in 2023.

¡Viva la Fiesta! takes place at Six Flags Over Texas on select dates now through May 7. The event features vibrant decor, several live entertainment offerings and specialty food items. The park also continues to work on improvements as El Sombrero begins an extensive refurbishment, the Mexico section sees new theming enhancements, ride lockers arrive at Aquaman: Power Wave, a second Roller Coaster Coffee location is teased and more.

The ride opens this weekend to park guests just in time for Spring Break and Scream Break.
