Six Flags Over Texas Announces Opening of Two Family Rides
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced that two new rides, Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters and Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce, will be opening to the public on July 4 at 3 p.m., 2024. A Grand Opening ceremony will be held on July 6 at 11:00 a.m.
Six Flags Over Texas Announces Opening of Dino Off Road Adventure
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced that Dino Off Road Adventure will open to the public on June 15, 2024 following an exclusive preview for season pass holders. The new ride is a retheming of the Chaparral Antique Cars, which originally debuted at the park in 1962, and promises guests an exciting new take on a beloved classic.
UNCONFIRMED CANCELLATION: Six Flags Over Texas Unveils the El Rio Lento Log Flume Ride for 2024
Though Six Flags Over Texas has not made an official announcement (and may not), the new 2024 El Rio Lento project appears to be quietly cancelled. Six Flags Over Texas is set to unveil El Rio Lento, one of the world’s longest log flumes. A makeover of the world’s first-ever log ride, El Aserradero, El Rio Lento will feature one new lift hill and two big drops, including a steep nosedive.

Six Flags Over Texas announced today that passholder previews will take place for the all-new Aquaman: Power Wave roller coaster on two weekends leading up to the ride’s grand opening. When it opens, the high-thrill Aquaman: Power Wave water coaster will be the first ride of its kind to debut in North America.

Pirates of Speelunker Cave Opens at Six Flags Over Texas | Full Ride POV, Queue Walk-Through & More
Pirates of Speelunker Cave is a re-imagining of one of the park’s first attractions, The Cave, that operated from 1964 until 1991 and replaces the current version of the attraction—Yosemite Sam and the Gold River Adventure. The Cave featured original characters called Speelunkers that were created exclusively for Six Flags Over Texas.
