Fright Fest 2024 | New Horror Franchise Haunts, Live Shows & Scare Zones

Fright Fest is jam-packed in 2024 at Six Flags Over Texas with the return of live entertainment, monster-filled scare zones and haunted houses. This year's haunted house line-up features several popular horror themes, including Stranger Things, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, SAW and Trick 'r Treat. Dr. H.H. Holmes' Freak Show has come back to Southern Palace Theatre, while shows at the park entrance have seen a refresh. Other themed entertainment, including Dia de los Muertos and a spooky rendition of the gunfighters, have also debuted for this year's Fright Fest.

Park Suffers Storm Flooding, ¡Viva la Fiesta! Review, Construction Updates

Six Flags Over Texas celebrates ¡Viva la Fiesta! now through May 5 with live entertainment, park decor and a special overlay on the Casa Magnetica crooked house. Before our visit, Six Flags Over Texas was hit with flood waters due to a major storm that came through the area, leaving sections and rides closed. Construction has also progressed on the two children's attractions coming to Bugs Bunny Boomtown.

Six Flags Over Texas Wins 'Best New Show' at Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards

From fireworks and multi-media to audience interaction to drones to traditional song and dance — the offerings were impressive. Six Flags Over Texas took the top bill with “Christmas at the Southern Palace.” The 25-member cast dazzled audiences with soaring vocals, beautiful costumes and a live band.
