Full Hurricane Harbor Arlington Water Park Tour | 40th Anniversary Celebration
In 2024, Hurricane Harbor Arlington celebrates its 40th anniversary. Originally a Wet 'n Wild water park, Six Flags purchased the property in 1995. Today, Hurricane Harbor features over twenty water slides and attractions, which span from kid-friendly to the ultimate thrill. Dinosaurs Begin to Take Over Six Flags Over Texas, Ride Closures & New Summer Updates
New for 2024 at Six Flags Over Texas is the Dino Off Road Adventure. Taking over the existing track of the Chaparral Antique Cars attraction, the new ride will feature several dinosaur animatronics throughout its layout. Construction is quickly under way on the new ride, along with the two new children's attractions set to open in Bugs Bunny Boomtown.
Park Suffers Storm Flooding, ¡Viva la Fiesta! Review, Construction Updates
Six Flags Over Texas celebrates ¡Viva la Fiesta! now through May 5 with live entertainment, park decor and a special overlay on the Casa Magnetica crooked house. Before our visit, Six Flags Over Texas was hit with flood waters due to a major storm that came through the area, leaving sections and rides closed. Construction has also progressed on the two children's attractions coming to Bugs Bunny Boomtown.
Total Solar Eclipse Engulfs Six Flags Over Texas, Plus Improvements & New Ride Construction Updates
April 8, 2024 saw Six Flags Over Texas become a unique place to catch the total solar eclipse with rides, viewing areas and a fireworks display. The park is also continuing construction on their two new children's attractions: Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce and Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. Six Flags Over Texas is also working on other projects as well, including EV chargers in the parking lot.
Scream Break 2024 | Full Event Review & Behind-the-Scenes Haunted House Tour
Scream Break returns to Six Flags Over Texas from March 9 to 16, this time with a completely new theme. Attendees can experience the return of Casa Magnetica as the Lōkahi Welcome Center, the all-new Curse of the Polynesian Palm haunted house, multiple live entertainment offerings, specialty characters and a wide selection of adult beverages from themed bars. Six Flags Over Texas Announces 2024 Park Improvements
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, today announced new park enhancements for the 2024 season. One new ride, Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce, and one returning ride, Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters, will be coming to the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of the park Memorial Day weekend. A retheming of the classic Chaparral Antique Cars into Dino Off Road Adventure will follow later in the summer.

Our visit to Six Flags Over Texas begins with a bizarre new layout for entering the park's parking lot. Two New Children’s Rides, Other Improvements Coming to Six Flags Over Texas in 2024
Six Flags Over Texas recently filed a project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation that includes $2 million worth of upgrades for their Bugs Bunny Boomtown area. The scope of work described is for new paving and foundations for two new rides in the Bugs Bunny Boomtown section of the park.

Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) and Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: SIX) today announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement to combine in a merger of equals transaction. The combined company, with a pro forma enterprise value of approximately $8 billion based on both companies’ debt and equity values as of October 31, 2023, will be a leading amusement park operator in the highly competitive leisure space with an expanded and diversified footprint, a more robust operating model and a strong revenue and cash flow generation profile.
UNCONFIRMED CANCELLATION: Six Flags Over Texas Unveils the El Rio Lento Log Flume Ride for 2024
Though Six Flags Over Texas has not made an official announcement (and may not), the new 2024 El Rio Lento project appears to be quietly cancelled. Six Flags Over Texas is set to unveil El Rio Lento, one of the world’s longest log flumes. A makeover of the world’s first-ever log ride, El Aserradero, El Rio Lento will feature one new lift hill and two big drops, including a steep nosedive.

Fright Fest takes place at Six Flags Over Texas now through October 31. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Piggy's Blood Shed haunt, along with a full POV of the house in action. Introduced in 2012, come into Piggy's restaurant for a home-cooked meal only to realize you are the prime entree to be served on the restaurant menu! Kids Boo Fest 2023, Plus Daytime Scare Zone Walk-Throughs
Kids Boo Fest, Six Flags Over Texas' family-friendly Halloween celebration, takes place on Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. The event features costume contests, the Crazy Hay Maze, a trick-or-treat trail, Looney Tunes dance parties and more. We also take a daytime tour of all seven of the park's Fright Fest scare zones.

The Oktoberfest Food Festival has returned to Six Flags Over Texas on select dates from September 2 to October 31. Taking place along the park’s Smith Street and Old South area, the festival features a number of German-inspired food and adult beverage options with expanded menus for 2023.
