Upgrades continue to take place at Six Flags Over Texas, including fresh paint, more flat ride refurbishments, new dining locations and food offerings and the addition of free ride lockers to select attractions. New Six Flags Over Texas Coaster Opens For Spring Break & Scream Break
Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, announces the grand opening of one of the most highly anticipated new attractions of the year. The new AQUAMAN: Power Wave multi-launch water coaster at Six Flags Over Texas, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, on behalf of DC, is the first of its kind in North America and opens to park guests on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
New Aquaman Progress, Updates on Ride Closures & Dining Offerings
New construction progress is taking place at Aquaman: Power Wave. Plus, learn more about the high level of ride closures at the park, including Roaring Rapids and Titan. We also take a look at the all-new Roller Coaster Coffee location, along with changes to dining pass offerings and other food line-ups. Summer entertainment has also begun at Six Flags Over Texas.
Aquaman Turntable Progress, Mr. Freeze Paint Job, More Building Improvements
Work has picked up on Aquaman: Power Wave and its addition of a turntable and crews continue to prep the all-new Pirates of Speelunker Cave dark ride. The new Mr. Freeze paint job has also progressed, along with the new parking lot and several building refurbishments, especially in the park's Old South section.

Aquaman Construction Tour, Several Multi-Million Dollar Projects Under Way
Six Flags Over Texas has announced that several multi-million dollar projects are now under way at the park. These include a new Looney Tunes Mall facade, a third train for Batman: The Ride, a $2 million parking lot enhancement and more. We also take an exclusive tour of the Aquaman: Power Wave construction site.

Aquaman: Power Wave, Year-Round Operation Coming in 2020
Six Flags Over Texas announces Aquaman: Power Wave for the park’s 2020 season. The first of its kind in North America, Aquaman: Power Wave stands at a height of 148 feet, features backwards and forwards launches, and top speeds of 63 miles per hour.
Shipping Information Points to Mack PowerSplash for 2020
Shipping records recently uncovered the details of a delivery heading to Six Flags Over Texas from Mack, a popular amusement ride manufacturer. Upon further investigation, the records state that parts being shipped are labeled for a PowerSplash attraction.
Joker Testing Has Begun
The Joker has begun testing sequences at Six Flags Over Texas. The park's official Facebook page posted a video earlier of the very first test run.
Want to Ride The Joker Early? Here's How...
The park is offering a cool package for those of you who are wanting to try out The Joker early before it opens to the general public. Six Flags Over Texas is calling it the "First 2 Ride VIP Package" and it will be valid for Wednesday, May 17th.
The Joker to Open May 20th
The park has uploaded an official video showing off the process of building The Joker as well as informing us that the ride will open to the public on Saturday, May 20th.

Galactic Attack VR Coming to Shock Wave
This virtual reality coaster will introduce riders to the device’s passthrough camera functionality that creates awareness of their surroundings through their Samsung Gear VR headsets. Complex gameplay is part of this ride which is also a world’s first!
The Joker Topped Off
Yesterday, Six Flags Over Texas officially topped of The Joker and installed the final piece of track. Though construction is moving along more rapidly than normal, the park is still stating that we can expect a late-Spring opening.
