Oktoberfest Food Festival & Fright Fest 2024 Feature Tons of Specialty Foods
Join us for an in-depth tour and review of Six Flags Over Texas' fall food offerings. Both Oktoberfest Food Festival and Fright Fest feature several specialty items this year, including German favorites, hauntingly spicy entrees and enough dessert to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. Oktoberfest Food Festival and Fright Fest both take place through the beginning of November.
Fright Fest 2024 | New Horror Franchise Haunts, Live Shows & Scare Zones
Fright Fest is jam-packed in 2024 at Six Flags Over Texas with the return of live entertainment, monster-filled scare zones and haunted houses. This year's haunted house line-up features several popular horror themes, including Stranger Things, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, SAW and Trick 'r Treat. Dr. H.H. Holmes' Freak Show has come back to Southern Palace Theatre, while shows at the park entrance have seen a refresh. Other themed entertainment, including Dia de los Muertos and a spooky rendition of the gunfighters, have also debuted for this year's Fright Fest.

Six Flags Over Texas invited us out for a sneak preview of their 2024 Fright Fest event with new haunted houses, specialty food and the return of live entertainment. Taking place select dates from September 13 to November 3, this year's Fright Fest features haunt versions of well-known horror brands, including Stranger Things, SAW, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Conjuring. Guests can also venture through four scare zones and experience the return of live shows, such as Dr. H.H. Holmes' Freak Show inside Southern Palace.

Six Flags Over Texas Welcomes Icons of Halloween and Horror to Fright Fest
Beginning on Friday, September 13, thrill-seekers and horror enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in the pulse-pounding excitement and terror that only Fright Fest can deliver. Visitors to the park will step into a world where nightmarish creatures inspired by legendary horror brands come to life with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ SAW franchise, Netflix’s Stranger Things, Warner Bros. Discovery’s The Conjuring, Legendary Entertainment’s Trick ‘r Treat, and Netflix & Legendary Entertainment’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Earlier this month, Six Flags Over Texas unveiled their new Bugs Bunny Boomtown attractions, which are Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce and the returning Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. Fright Fest is just over two months away and we've been able to confirm an entertainment offering and discuss the haunted house teasers that have been released. Piggy's Blood Shed Haunted House Behind-the-Scenes Tour & POV
Fright Fest takes place at Six Flags Over Texas now through October 31. Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the iconic Piggy's Blood Shed haunt, along with a full POV of the house in action. Introduced in 2012, come into Piggy's restaurant for a home-cooked meal only to realize you are the prime entree to be served on the restaurant menu! A staple to the park’s house line-up, guests entering will experience high-intensity scares and Piggy’s favorite friends.
Kids Boo Fest 2023, Plus Daytime Scare Zone Walk-Throughs
Kids Boo Fest, Six Flags Over Texas' family-friendly Halloween celebration, takes place on Saturdays and Sundays through October 29. The event features costume contests, the Crazy Hay Maze, a trick-or-treat trail, Looney Tunes dance parties and more. We also take a daytime tour of all seven of the park's Fright Fest scare zones.

We visit Six Flags Over Texas as they begin preparations for their all-new Hallowfest 2020 event, which is a modified Halloween celebration intended to better follow current safety guidelines. Though spooky decor and cobwebs have begun to take over the park, no sign of the four planned scare zones is evident.
