The Tallest, Past Attractions
Superman: Tower of Power was the tallest ride of its kind in the world when it opened in 2003. The full structure stands at 325 feet. The flag pole at the top stands approximately 25 feet and the ride vehicles themselves travel up to about 250 feet. The attraction was also the tallest ride at Six Flags Over Texas until the addition of Texas SkyScreamer in 2013.
Two former attractions once called this spot of the park home, including The Great Six Flags Air Racer. An Intamin Air Racer attraction, The Great Six Flags Air Racer existed from 1984 to 1999. Missile Chaser, Six Flags Over Texas’ second installment of an Eli Bridge Scrambler attraction, also occupied the space from 2000 to 2002.
