Children’s Area Expansions
Speedy Gonzales’ Truckin’ Across America has been a part of three major expansions to the park’s children’s area. Originally installed as The Convoy in 1991, the attraction was a part of a major expansion to the Looney Tunes Land area. Along with The Convoy were the additions of Martian Escape, Sylvester’s Junior’s Train and Porky Pig Magic Wheel. For the park’s 40th anniversary in 2001, Looney Tunes Land saw another major upgrade. Now named Looney Tunes USA, The Convoy would be renamed Speedy Gonzales’ Truckin Across America and feature the character himself. Looney Tunes USA saw yet another expansion and remodel in 2014 with theming updated to Bugs Bunny Boomtown.
